Bandung, November 28, 2025 - Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung officially announced the separation with Assistant Coach Muhamad Gofar for the upcoming competition season. This decision marks the end of Gofar's long tenure at the club, a journey that began in 2008.
In his 17 years of service, Coach Gofar was known as one of the most loyal figures in the organization, and because he only joined Satria Muda since the beginning of his career, he can be called a "one man club" for his long-term dedication.
For nearly two decades, Gofar was a crucial part of the foundation of Satria Muda's competitive culture. He was present across various eras, faced different team dynamics, and contributed to shaping the players' character and the club's work identity.
In his final release as a part of Satria Muda, Coach Gofar reflected on his career journey:
"While working at Satria Muda, I truly felt how the club's environment shaped us as individuals. Satria Muda educated everyone to be responsible, never give up, and always be ready to face pressure. As a team, we always had a 'thirst for titles' mentality. Every dynamic, change, and condition within the team has been a very valuable learning process for me."
"During my time as an assistant coach at Satria Muda, the biggest lesson for me was the importance of attitude and firmness in educating players. A coach must consistently instill clear work values and doctrine, especially to new players, that Satria Muda is a top-tier team. The target must never be lowered, the standard must not be shaken. We must continue to demand the best achievements and maintain the competitive culture that is the identity of this club," said Coach Gofar.
As a form of appreciation from the club, Managing Director of Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, Christian Ronaldo Sitepu, also shared his impressions and message for the figure who helped Satria Muda achieve 8 championship rings out of their 12 total titles:
"Coach Gofar is one of the figures whose contribution is irreplaceable in the long journey of Satria Muda. Two decades is not a short time, and his loyalty and dedication have become one of the foundations of this club's culture. On behalf of the management, we express our deepest gratitude for his hard work, commitment, and service to the team. We wish him all the best for his future career."
Closing his message, Gofar offered hope for the team's journey in the new season:
"For Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, I hope this season runs smoothly from the start. May the presence of the new coaches integrate well, and may the selection of foreign players also have a big impact on the team's journey."
"I want every victory to be achieved through a steady process, game by game. For the players, as is my priority every season, I hope they are always kept away from serious injuries, especially those that require surgery. Be coachable players, willing to learn, and continue to grow," he said, delivering a meaningful message. (SAM)
