Satria Muda Pertamina returned to routine training after a week's holiday after facing Bali United on March 17. Head coach Manual Garces gave this vacation allotment to rejuvenate the players after a busy and draining match schedule, especially since the SM squad had to play in the middle of the month of Ramadan, which is something new at the moment.

The team itself finally gathered again this week and immediately started training. Attacking and defending patterns are trained again with high intensity.

Manuel Garces himself, when met during training, said that the team's main focus remains on developing the players' abilities to become better game by game, but also does not forget to continue to patch up any shortcomings.

"Every week I always want the players to progress both as a team and individually, because in this team there are many young players with potential and I want them all to be the best in the future. Apart from that, our main focus is to find solutions from back to back matches by starting from simple things such as winning rebounds and improving the percentage of free throws. "And of course I hope we can maintain ourselves as one of the teams with the best three-point shooting in the league," he said.

Apart from that, the man from Spain also said that he was quite happy with the progress shown by the local Satria Muda players in the last two games in Surabaya and Bali. They proved capable of closing the gap left by Trey Davis very well.

“It's great to see how Sandy has rediscovered his sharpness on the pitch and then Juan who has been very effective off the bench and Julian who as we know he has to compete with Jarred and Myke to be on the pitch but he's proven he can do that, is competing well at the moment. Then there are Widy and Erga with their assists which helped this team to win. And of course there is Abraham, who over time has become more consistent as one of our team's main weapons. And for that I want to say that I am very proud of all of them," he continued.

Apart from the names above, he also praised Karl Gloria's enthusiasm in training sessions. He said that the number 11 player trains very well and tirelessly every day.

“Obviously I also have to mention Karl Gloria, he trains and works very hard every time he is on the pitch. "As you can see in the internal game just now he is able to score two to three three-pointers, and that is very good progress for him and the current team," concluded the former Shenzhen Leopards coach.

Satria Muda Pertamina itself will give its squad a day off on April 9 to give the entire team the opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Fitr and will return to the field on the 13th to prepare for the next match against Kstaria Bengawan Solo and Satya Wacana at Pertamina Arena on April 20-21.
