BANDUNG, West Java
The commitment of the Persib group management to advance national basketball has been reaffirmed through the strategic move of acquiring the legendary basketball club, Satria Muda.
The Persib group management is now also developing Satria Muda through a managerial synergy aimed at pushing the club's quality and competitiveness to a higher level. This step is a significant moment for Satria Muda, which sees the change in atmosphere and new challenges as an opportunity for transformation.
Founded in 1993 and having collected 12 championship titles in the national basketball league's top tier, the Satria Muda club has now established Bandung, West Java, as its new operational base.
This decision is not just a management restructuring but also an actualization of the vision "Champion of Indonesia, Indonesia a Champion." With its presence in the city nicknamed Paris van Java, Satria Muda aims to expand its community and fan base, build a healthy fanaticism, and strengthen its image as an inclusive, competitive, and nationally oriented basketball club.
This was stated by Glenn Sugita, CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, who said that the managerial synergy between Persib and Satria Muda is a real step towards a mutually reinforcing sports ecosystem.
"We see great potential in Satria Muda and believe that the transformation into SM Bandung will open a new chapter full of innovation and a champion's spirit. Under our shared vision, we want to bring Indonesian basketball to a wider, more competitive, and more proud stage," said Glenn Sugita in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (02/8).
As of today, Persib and Satria Muda are officially part of the sports ecosystem in Bandung and West Java. Satria Muda's presence in Bandung also creates balance and enriches the dynamics of national basketball competition.
Persib welcomes Satria Muda with the same spirit: a dedication to professionalism, talent development, and a real contribution to the advancement of Indonesian sports. (DI)
