Satria Muda Pertamina is on a good trend to end this year's regular season. After stumbling after losing to Rans and KBS, Abraham et al were able to bounce back with an absolute advantage over their last two opponents Bali United and Prawira Bandung last week.

Playing at home at Britama Arena, SM Pertamina appeared dominant with their latest composition. The arrival of Shannon Evans, Amine and Artem were able to cover the holes that were their weaknesses. The trio who once faced each other in the Spanish League not only stand out individually but are also able to play as a team.

"But they haven't played one hundred percent. Because they just arrived so there is still the jetlag effect. But I'm happy because they remain professional and the impact is immediately visible on the field," said SM head coach Youbel Sondakh.

When asked about the next game against Pelita Jaya (PJ), Youbel said that it would be a very tight and interesting game. Of course he hopes his players will play to the best of their ability, especially since this match will be their final match before playing in the playoffs next week.

"The match against them will be one of our best tests before the playoffs. Because with the arrival of Shannon, Artem and Amine, we clearly need some modifications in our system so that it can be better later," explained the man from Manado.

"What is certain is that our current goal is that we want to continue to improve our patterns and hopefully our graph can continue to rise. That's why there will be several things that I will try in playing against them later. And I make sure we will continue to play to win against them because clearly by achieving positive results, it will greatly help our mentality in the playoffs phase later," he concluded.

Satria Muda themselves in their first meeting last March at Britama Arena were able to emerge as winners with a narrow advantage of 85-83 through a lay-up by Ali Bagir. And they will meet again on Thursday this week at the GOR GMSB Kuningan, South Jakarta. (FR)
