Satria Muda Pertamina took a big step in its player composition by releasing Mario Davidson to Tangerang Hawks for this season. Mario's release scheme itself uses a trade system with one of the Hawks players Winston Swenjaya.
Mario himself has only appeared once in the Satria Muda Pertamina uniform this season, at that time the player who graduated from Pelita Harapan University performed quite well by scoring 6 points and 1 assist.
"He is a very talented player and I also like his energy and enthusiasm every time he plays. So I want him to have as much experience as possible in the current league, and there I am sure he will continue to grow, continue to learn and definitely get new knowledge," said SM Pertamina head coach Youbel Sondakh.
In addition, the guard who played for Central Java in the sports week in Aceh last year also played well when defending the SM Pertamina banner in the 2024 Indonesia Cup. His fast and straightforward movements at that time helped SM Pertamina to the final before losing to Pelita Jaya.
"I think the Hawks are also the right place for Mario this season. As we know, they really need a player in a position like Mario and there is also a coach Joko who I know is very experienced as a coach. So I believe Mario will be an important instrument for them for the rest of the season," he continued.
Youbel also hopes that this trade will be a good step for both teams and players.
"Of course I really hope Mario will develop further there and I am very sure that will happen. Also I know he will help and have an important role for the Hawks to achieve their targets this season," he concluded.
