Satria Muda Pertamina (SMP) has again overhauled their foreign squad this season. After parting ways with Wendell Lewis and Warren Washington some time ago, the team from Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, also said goodbye to Randy Bell.
This decision was taken after SMP defeated Satya Wacana in their last match last Saturday. In his last match, the 193 cm tall man managed to score 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to help SMP win with a score of 88-69.
"He is a good player, it's just that we currently need a more consistent player. Moreover, we will face a round as important as the playoffs in a few weeks. And we from the SM coaching staff have also seen several names whose CVs and track records are better than Randy's. Hopefully this is the right decision for SM at this time," said head coach Youbel Sondakh who was contacted by telephone.
Randy himself played quite well while defending SMP and it was proven that in the last few games his statistics increased. He even managed to become the first junior high school player to score a triple double when hosting Pacific Caesar last month. During his time in the SM uniform, Randy Bell managed to bring 17 wins and 6 losses from 23 matches this season.
"All of us at Satria Muda would like to thank Randy Bell for all his hard work so far. All the players are also happy with his personality both personally and as a teammate on the field.
